提孟安排是武周时期的著名道教理论家，在隋代问世的《道门大论》（又名《玄门大义》等）的基础上，删繁就简编成了《道教义枢》这部反映道教思想的教义手册，具有重要的文献与认识价值。其“神本”生命论不仅呈现了道教对世界的究竟本质以及人类精神内涵的特殊理解，为实践活动的贯彻提供了较为充分的理论依据，而且在相当程度上展示了道教教义学的时代风貌。

Meng Anpai (孟安排) is a famous Taoist Theorist in the Wu Zhou ( i.e.Wu Zetian武则天) period of Tang Dynasty.On the basis and by abridging of Daomen Dalun (道门大论Great Doctrines of Taoism the other name of this book is Xuanmen Dayi玄门大义) published in the Sui Dynasty he compiled Daojiao Yishu which is a doctrinal handbook re-flecting Taoist thoughts and has important value in literature and knowledge. His ShenBen Theory of Life revealed the nature of Taoism in probing into the world and its special understanding of the meaning of human spirit and pro-vided full theoretical foundation for human practice .This theory also showed to the great extent the style and features of Taoist dogmatics.
