The principle to look for the direct sun by using photosensitive resistance is expounded in this article. An auto?matic solar tracker taking the STC12C5A60S2 as its core was designed. The sun’s irradiation status is measured by the four pho?tosensitive resistances embedded on four sides of the solar panel,sent to the single chip microcomputer(SCM)after amplifica?tion,and then analyzed and calculated in the SCM by software to get deviation direction and angle that the panel needs to be moved. At last,two servo motors are adopted to control panels’left?right and up?down migration,and improve the luminous effi?ciency.
