Valve positioner is one of the key instruments in industrial pipeline control system. In order to enhance its con?trol performance,a valve positioner based on HART protocol with AVR microcontroller as the core was designed. Structure and working principle of the intelligent valve positioner are introduced. Several key points such as low?power consumption design, valve position control algorithms,design of anti?interference and reliability design are analyzed. Some effective methods are pre?sented to solve them. Good results has been gained in practical application of the system. The research is of significance to develop the related products.
