The governance structure of American university library has the features of power sharing,check and balance,as well as loose coupling. The formation of these features is closely related to the low distance culture of America. Under the low distance culture,American people have developed the idea of participating public affairs equally,the thinking style of check and balance,as well as the life style of federalism. China's university library should not only pay attention to the problem of cultural adaptability,but also know to draw on advantages and avoid disadvantages improving their governance structure.
