胸外科是一门相对复杂的外科专业，其住院医师的培养具有一定的特殊性，以往的培养方式存在一定的问题。目前欧美国家对于胸外科医师的培养方案也在变化，在借鉴欧美国家经验的同时，胸外科住院医师规范化培训必须符合我国实际情况并体现专业特点。因此培训内容和时间的设置上在充分考虑基础外科训练的基础上，还更要重视胸外科专科的培训，而科研素质的培养、病案工作、法律法规、经济保障等方面也应配套完善。

The residents’standardized training in hospital is very critical part of medical education after graduation. The training of surgeon has its specific characteristics. In the past, there were some problems in the resident standardized training program of thoracic specialist surgeon. At present, the training programs are changing in European and American countries. When we learn from the experience of western countries, it should be considered that our resident standardization training comply with educational background and professional characteristics. In the training time and the set of content based on fully considering the basic surgical, the specialist training must be paid more attention to. At the same time, research training, economic security, medical records training, laws and regulations should be improved in the future.
