A detailed interpretation about the verification of RID–10A type differential refractive index detector produced by SHIMADZU in liquid chromatographs as an example, the process was introduced to verify the differential refractive index detector of HPLC by the new verification regulation of liquid chromatographs JJG 705–2014. The reason of changes of the verification method was given and the advantages were introduced. A summary of the matters need to be attention for verification officers was made.
