《中华图书馆协会会报》是近代中国久负盛名的图书馆学期刊之一。虽然内容包罗万象，但它有着比较明确的刊文重心———主要集中在图书馆界消息、新书新刊介绍、图书馆学论文、各种调查统计报告、会务纪要五个方面。同时，在图书馆界的特殊地位，决定着其刊文有着相当的广泛性、显著的交流性、强烈的实践性、宝贵的资料性等特色。《会报》明确的刊文重心及特色对增强民国时期图书馆界凝聚力、推动图书馆学科建设和促进图书馆界对外交流均发挥了重要作用。
《중화도서관협회회보》시근대중국구부성명적도서관학기간지일。수연내용포라만상，단타유착비교명학적간문중심———주요집중재도서관계소식、신서신간개소、도서관학논문、각충조사통계보고、회무기요오개방면。동시，재도서관계적특수지위，결정착기간문유착상당적엄범성、현저적교류성、강렬적실천성、보귀적자료성등특색。《회보》명학적간문중심급특색대증강민국시기도서관계응취력、추동도서관학과건설화촉진도서관계대외교류균발휘료중요작용。
Bulletin of the Library Association of Chinawas one of the Modern Chinese prestigious journals on Library Science,Which was hosted by the Library Association of China.Although its content was all-inclusive,it had clear articles focus,which were the message of the library community,new book and periodicals recommending,papers in Library Science, various survey reports, conference minutes and etc.At the same time, the special status of the Newspaper decided its articles had some characteristics,which including distinctive breadth,significant communica-tion,strong practicality and valuable information.The Newspaper played an important role in enhancing the library community cohesion,boosting the development of library cause in china and promoting the library community foreign exchange as well.
