回顾举办5届本科生中医临床技能竞赛的实际情况及效果，探讨了举办中医临床技能竞赛对中医学生临床基本技能培训的作用。认为中医临床技能竞赛能在较大程度上激发学生的学习兴趣，促进中医学生临床基本技能培训，提高学生的临床实践能力，提升学生的综合素质，但仍存在一定的局限性和进一步改进的空间。

This paper briefly reviewed actual situation and real effects of 5 times of Chinese medicine clinical skill competition, and discussed the role of the competition in training students’clinical basic skills. It holds that the competition may in a large degree stimulate students’interest in learning, may promote their basic clinical skills training , improve their ability of clinical practice, and enhance their comprehensive quality. Meanwhile there still exist some limitations and spaces for further improvement.
