The flow calculation in city gas pipeline transmission and distribution system is related to the economy and reliability of the network system. Taking some building as an example and using the simultaneously coefficient method and heating index method separately to calculate the gas consumption of appliances, the paper analyzes the effects on selecting the low-pressure overhead pipeline diameter by using different calculation methods.
