When tailings dam is built on soft soil foundation, dam break caused by foundation settlement is easy to happen, which is catastrophic, so great attention should be attached to the design and construction. In this article, the gravel pile is used for the treatment of the dam doundation built on soft soil foundation. The construction is relatively simple, and hardly affected by the underground water level, so it has high safety and reliability, and is highly economic and practical.
