Objective:To compare the efficacy between deanxit and amitriptyline treating elderly post-stroke depression. Methods:58 patients were randomly divided into deanxit group and amitriptyline group, based on the conventional stroke treatment respectively with oral deanxit and amitripty-line hydrochloride, to compare the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) score, comprehensive effect and side effect after 6 weeks of two groups. Re-sults:The HAMD scores of two groups after treatment were both lower than those before treatment (P<0.05), and deanxit group markedly lower than amitriptyline group (P<0.05); the total effective rate of deanxit group was 86.2%, significantly higher than that of control group by 55.2% (P=0.02707<0.05);adverse reaction rate of deanxit group was lower than that of amitriptyline group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Curative effect of deanxit treating elderly post-stroke depression is better than that of amitriptyline, with less adverse reactions, being worthy of clinical application.
