As a medium -sized city in Jiangsu province,Nantong has been continuously and intensely bringing up lots of competitive sports talents,including 15 world champions and 7 Olympic champions and has been called"Nantong phenomenon"at competitive sports level by media.Through analyzing sports factors of "Nantong phenomenon"and Nantong culture,the paper discovers that Nantong culture has enormous creativity and Nantong cultural character is necessary for achieving great accomplishments.
