The latest synthesis methods for preparation of anatase TiO 2 with high energy ( 001 ) facet are reviewed and the advance way for clean synthesis of this new functional material is also discussed .Its ap-plication in different field , such as photo catalysis , battery and water spilling are also summarized .And give a perspective on its potential application in some new area ,like working as basic catalyst or function-al support in hydrogenation reactions .
