The structure characteristics of leaves and petioles of different Eucalyptus spp. and the change of damage and undamaged plants by Leptocybe invasa had determined. The results showed that:①There are negative correlation between insect resistance and leaf water content, and positive correlation between insect resistance and leaf bulk density. The insect resistance has positively correlated with moisture content, thickness and wax content of petioles, but negatively correlated with bulk density.②After affected by the wasp, the water content of leaves had declined and the bulk density had increased and the damaged petioles had significantly enlarged. In damaged mid-resistance varieties, petioles’ wax content had obviously decreased, but had slightly decreased in leaves. The high susceptible varieties had significant differences of wax content in leaves between damaged and undamaged plant. The results also had revealed that the wax content of petioles in high susceptible varieties, E. urophylla× E. tereticornis DH201-2 had decreased obviously.
