蛞蝓（Agriolimax agrestis）成为重要的农业害虫，正引起高度重视。根据调查“常见危害农作物的蛞蝓主要有黄蛞蝓（Limax flavus Linnaeus）、双线嗜粘液蛞蝓（Phiolmycus bilineatus Bonson）和野蛞蝓（Agriolimax agres-tis Linnaeus）”，以野蛞蝓尤为突出。蛞蝓繁殖过程比较复杂。对蛞蝓繁殖习性观察研究论述归纳概括为：蛞蝓一年发生2～6个世代，世代重叠复杂。由越冬成体或幼体发育为成体后，在4月中旬至6月中旬交尾，交尾后2～3 d 开始产卵，隔1～2 d 产卵1次，卵产在潮湿荫蔽土块缝隙2～4 cm 深处。每处产卵数粒至数十粒，卵聚集一堆。产卵期30～80 d，最长160 d 以上。成体一生产卵数量因环境条件不同而有差异，在60～400粒之间。温度在12～20℃、土壤含水量在20％～30％时最适合蛞蝓生长发育活动。
