目前小城镇在新型城市化进程中的地位凸显，基于小城镇发展逐步趋同的现象，且普遍忽视其本土特色的问题，本文基于本土营造的视角下提出黄土高原沟壑区小城镇空间发展模式。以位于陇东黄土高原沟壑区的甘肃省灵台县为典型案例，从灵台县的本土环境特色出发，探析灵台县域内小城镇空间发展特征及其存在的问题，进而基于本土环境营造灵台县域小城镇的空间可持续发展模式，即县域小城镇群树状网络化的空间发展模式，以期为黄土高原沟壑区小城镇的本土营造提供思路。

Based on the increasing emphasis on the development of smal towns, which leads to the assimilation in developing smal towns, and the ignorance to the local characteristics in China , the creation of the local spatial development patterns of smal towns in Gul y region of the Loess Plateau is needed and wil be dis-cussed in the paper. locating in Gul y region of the Loess Plateau, Lingtai County, Gansu Province, wil be taken as a case for the study and analysis to the spatial development characteristics and its existing problems, starting from the characteristics of its local environment to construct a sustainable development pattern of smal towns ( the county group tree network structure of spatial development pattern) and to provide managements for the local constructive practice of smal towns in Gul y region of the Loess Plateau.
