With the features of large size and great weight, the radial clearance of large deep groove ball bearing couldn’t be measured accurately with current instrument. According to the features of this bearing and national standard, the current instrument was improved. The design of a loading device made bearing be loaded under stipulated loading amount, so that accurate measurement of radial clearance was guaranteed. This measuring method was convenient in use and efifcient.
