CFRD has been widely used. But some problems, as high design difficult, long design cycles, error-prone, inconvenience later adjustment and so on, are encountered by its structure complexity. CATIA software has a powerful parametric design capabilities and a complete knowledge engineering module, so this article attempts to introduce a three-dimensional design method based on CAT-IA software to design a CFRD, focusing on its design and implementation process, and applied to an actual project. Practice shows that based on this method not only 3D modeling, 2D drawing and engineering statistics can be conducted quickly, but also the mold can be adjusted or applied to a new project easily. This method can greatly improves the design precision and design efficiency, and has a strong practical value and application prospect.
