本文旨在通过梳理各方对语言变异、语言变体的论述，试图阐明语言变异、语言变化及语言运用中的偏离现象之间的区别和相互关系，即语言变异是语言变化的前提和基础，变化是结果，其表现形式为语言变体。语言变异主要有语言因素和非语言因素，认为语言因素含语内、语际和语境因素，偏离不完全等同于变异，偏离是在语言的表达方式等层次上，在语言的内部所发生的变化和差异，是语言运用中为达到表达效果的一种有背常规的一种表达手段，是变异的一种表现形式。

By making an overview of variation from different schools of thought, this paper attempts to make a distinction between language variation and language change, between language variation and language variant, and between language variation and language deviation. The conclusion is that language variation is the basis of language change, that language variant is the form of language variation, that the reasons for variation are out of non-linguistic and linguistic factors, and that deviation differs from variation in that deviation is a kind of variation, and is a means of expression as opposed to norm.
