The total anthraquinones were extracted from polygonum multiflorum by ultrasonic method .The effects of five factors on the extraction ,including methanol concentration ,extrac‐ting times ,extracting temperature ,material/solvent ratio and extracting power were studied by single factor test .The optimal conditions of extraction were determined as follows :metha‐nol volume fraction was 80% ,extracting time was 1 0. h ,extracting temperature was 45 ℃ , material‐solvent ratio was 1∶15 (g∶mL) and extracting power was 700 W .Under these oper‐ation conditions ,the maximum rate of extraction of the total anthraquinones was 1 4.72 9% .
