泥塑人体是高等院校雕塑专业的一门重要课程，在课程体系中起着至关重要的作用。现行的泥塑人体教学，是对静态的客观事物临摹，很大程度上使学生的思想受到限制，不能够让学生的思想得到扩展。因此，改革泥塑人体教学，应从泥塑人体教学模式及方法入手，从观察方法、人体速写到动态泥塑人体写生的教学过程中来进行，以达到提高艺术素养、培养学生创新能力的目的。

Clay sculpting , an essential component of the college curriculum set for sculpting majors , enables students to exhibit their creativity in the best possible manner .The existing approach to clay sculpting focuses on model copying of static objects , which hinders students ’ creative thinking .To reform on the teaching mode of clay sculpting , we should change the out-dated modes and methods in clay sculpting and direct our reform initiatives to-wards improving students ’ capabilities in ways of observation , fast sketching of human bodies , and clay sketching of dynamic clay sculptures .
