The new Chinese language textbook in the middle schools of Singapore takes the procedure knowledge as the style of each unit, and the ability training as the main line, with penetration of civil education and traditional cultural education, which shows the feature of practice of the Chinese language from the perspective of linguistic ap-plication. The definiteness of teaching contents, and the features of language and practice provide reference for the compiling of Chinese language textbook with definite teaching contents.
