医院精神内涵是医院文化的核心内容，是一个医院经历历史发展沉淀形成的精华。医院精神内涵引导着工作人员的工作作风、道德标准和价值观念，是医院文化和医院发展的灵魂，是医院在竞争中得以胜出的软实力。我国医院精神以文化标语为载体，以凝练的语言体现出医院文化的精髓，因此，加大对医院文化标语的宣传力度可以促进医院文化建设的进程，提高员工的积极性和凝聚力，增强医院的知名度和影响力。在全球一体化的背景下，恰当的英译医院文化标语可以更好地开展医院外事宣传工作，进而增强医院的国际影响力。翻译医院文化标语应符合以下三个原则：体现医院的特色文化内涵，符合英语语言对称美和节律美，发挥文化宣传的作用。文章以北京协和医院的“协和精神”为例，探讨了“协和精神”对医院宣传工作的重要意义，并依照英译医院文化标语的基本原则试译了“严谨、求精、勤奋、奉献”这一“协和精神”。

Hospital spirit connotation is one of the the core contents of hospital culture, and it is the essence of the historical de-velopment of a hospital. Hospital spirit has been playing a guiding role in the fields of staff work style, ethical standards and val-ues, and it is the soul of culture and development of a hospital. In addition, the hospital spirit is the soft strength to win in the competition. The cultural slogan is one of the carriers of the hospital spirit. With the characteristics of refined language, the cultur-al slogan embodies the essence of the hospital culture. Therefore, strengthen the work of hospital culture slogan propaganda will promote the hospital culture construction process, improve the staff's enthusiasm and cohesion, and enhance the hospital's visibility and influence. Under the background of globalization, the proper translation of hospital culture slogan will better carry out hospital foreign affairs publicity work, thus improving the hospital's international influence. Hospital culture slogan translation should con-form to the following three principles:coincide the characteristics of the hospital culture connotation;conform with the symmetrical beauty and rhythm beauty of English language;develop with the work of cultural propaganda. This paper takes the“PUMCH Spir-it”of the Peking Union Medical College Hospital as an example, and analyses the significant roles of“PUMCH Spirit”to the hos-pital propaganda work. And in accordance with the aforementioned translaton principles, the paper translates the“PUMCH Spirit”.
