悉尼学派体裁教学法的特点在于以语篇体裁为核心的课程设置、教学目标明确、对社会文化和意识形态的重视以及互动的教学循环模式。大量的教学改革项目证明该教学法应用于语言课堂的教学效果显著，有助于提高学生的读写能力。鉴于国内存在无效外语课堂教学的情况，尝试通过探究体裁教学法的理论基础，分析体裁教学模式，梳理其在中国的应用所遭遇的挑战和问题，并在此基础上提出其与内容式教学法融合的方法使该理论更适合中国语境，使其更有利于提高外语课堂的有效性。

Genre-based teaching approach developed by Sydney School focuses on genre teaching and generic competence. It is also remarkable for interactive teaching-learning cycle and emphasizing on social culture and ideology.A series of teaching re-form projects have improved the effectiveness of this approach in addressing the issue of literacy in all levels of schools.Given the ineffective teaching in some foreign language classes in China, it is necessary to explore the implications of this pedagogy for foreign language teaching in China and even to apply it into Chinese classrooms.In order to make it applicable in China, this paper puts forward the innovative teaching model featuring integration of genre-based teaching approach with content-based instruction in terms of its theoretical bases, teaching model and challenges in its localization in China.
