邻苯二甲酸酯是一类环境激素，具有生殖毒性、致癌性，世界各国纷纷出台法规、标准对邻苯二甲酸酯进行了限量。可以预见，邻苯二甲酸酯的限制种类会越来越多，限量值也会越来越严格。然而，我国的相关标准与世界发达国家和地区有一定差距，纺织品出口国经常以增加检测项目、提高限量值等手段设置绿色贸易壁垒，限制我国纺织品出口。相关部门应加快风险评估，积极寻找邻苯二甲酸酯的替代物，解决邻苯二甲酸酯类增塑剂标准滞后问题。
