脐带血是胎儿娩出后残留在脐带和胎盘中的血液。新生儿脐带血中含有丰富的造血干细胞。近年来，随着医学理论及技术的日臻完善和成熟，脐带血的研究及临床应用也得到长足的发展。目前，脐带血作为公认的造血干细胞的重要来源之一，已被广泛应用于治疗儿童及成人的各种良、恶性血液系统疾病。
