As one of important pivotal port in North China, Qingdao is gradually becoming an international shipping center in North East Asia. Based on Qingdao’s economic position and developing potential, a comprehensive analysis is made for the existing problems of Qingdao port and the ocean shipping requirement for the port caused by the development of Aoshan bay economic hinterland. Aoshan bay harbor is a continued container harbor at Qingdao port, which will focus on container transport, and meet the transport requirements for general cargo and large-piece cargos in economic hinterland.
