The intense faradic electricity from the 500 kV substation is a menace to the safety of the maintainers and operators. By utilizing the capacitor,the author of this paper conducts a study on the faradic electricity from the mechanical characteristics test of the 500 kV switch. The analysis shows that by utilizing the capacitor the faradic electricity is reduced to the safe level while the experimental data is not affected.
