晚清新政是指1901-1911年，清王朝旨在维持岌岌可危的统治，扭转内外交困的局面，迎合新兴资产阶级的需要，改变一贯冥顽不化的政治态度，进行的一场近代史上规模最大、范围最广、自上而下的社会改革。此次新政是中国近代女性解放运动的重要发展时期，其中的一些改革措施如除陋习禁缠足，解放女性身心；兴女学办教育，解除精神枷锁；组建各种团体，凝聚女性合力等，唤起了近代女性的觉醒，加速了女性解放运动的发展进程。

The new policy reform in Late Qing Dynasty refers to the reforming movement which was the largest-scale, widest-range and top-down reform during 1901 to 1911. It aimed at maintaining the governing and reversing the current situation (internal and external troubles). It also catered to the needs of the emerging bourgeoisie and changed the fatuous political attitude. This new policy reform oc-curred in the very important era when the Chinese modern women's liberation movement was in full swing. During this period, some re-forming measures were taken, such as anti-foot binding, female school education, and establishment of female societies to liberate wom-en. Thus the reform aroused the female awareness and accelerated the development process of women liberation movement.
