English writing is a process of creative thinking and a reflection of student’s thinking quality. Creative thinking contributes to high-level compositions;in the same way, creative writing helps the develop?ment of students’creative thinking. Creative thinking in English writing can be seen in a composition’s theme, content, organization and language use. Giving interactive classroom teaching, opening up second class writing activities, and carrying out online writng instructions and assessment can develop students’creative thinking, and improve the thinking quality and ability of English majors of normal universities.
