This paper illustrates the art kind universities and colleges digital characteristic resource database construction impor?tance. Then it is taking the library of Zhejiang University of Media and Communications as an example and constructing the art col?lege library characteristic database platform. It makes use of the characteristic resources base platform. It fixes the characteristics of resources and services into teaching and research and expands characteristic digital resource sharing of social function and utility.
