With the requirement of the students'individual study and combining with the practical problems in teaching,this paper puts forward strategies and suggestions related to the establishment of the system of selective courses for non -English ma-jors in Guilin university of technology and offers efficient and constructive selective courses to enhance their comprehensive abil-ities.
