According to the features for the thermal power plant, that is large engineering volume, complicated equipment and pipelines, various involved construction units, and difficulties of refined management, the paper points out the BIM technique in the engineering construction man-agement of the thermal power plant can be applied in promoting the management efficiency and management of programs, and explores the imple-mentation schemes including the communication of participants, progress management and cost management in the thermal power plant construc-tion program based on BIM technique.
