语际翻译中的误译是不可避免的。导致有意误译的原因有二：译者在对原文的诠释上背离原作以迎合目的语文化读者及译者因为要保留原作的异域风情而又使目的语文化读者对其难以理解接受。误译促进了主体文化对客体文化的适应、接受和容纳，实现了主体文化与客体文化的交流与沟通。

Interlingual mistranslations are unavoidable. There are two reasons that lead to intentional mistranslations——translators’ catering to the target readers in rendering the source texts and unacceptability on the part of the target readers due to translators’ efforts in preserving exoticism of the source texts. Mistranslations fulfilled exchanges and communications between the host culture and the guest culture by boosting adjustments to, and acceptance and inclusion of, the latter on the part of the former.
