From his novels Personal Experience to The Football Team of the First Year of M anen ,Kenzaburo Oe has carried on a profound reflection about Japanese postw ar national problems .The failure in the Second World War and especially the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki ,cast a shadow over Japanese people’s spirit ,and made a distortion to Japanese national character .Personal Experience reflects the painful process for Japanese to accept the failure of the war and the nuclear blast ,while The Football Team of the First Year of Manen has put forward a thinking how Japanese get rid of the national character of militarism ,and tried to create a healthy national character .
