《彼得·潘》与《不老泉》这两部作品在人物形象的设置、深层结构的建构上具有相同之处，都蕴含了作者对生命永恒的思考，但故事所传达的思想意蕴却有着很大的不同。巴里在《彼得·潘》中更多表现的是成人对童年的纯真与单纯的欢乐之眷恋，娜塔莉·巴比特的《不老泉》则传达出作者对生命规律的尊重与理解。从互文性的角度来看，二者展现了作者对生命意义的不同理解。

Peter Pan and Tuck Everlasting share the similarities about the images of the characters,the construction of the deep struc-tures and both of them involve the thought to the everlasting life from the authors with the distinct differences of the implication in the stories.In Peter Pan,Barry intends to present the attachment of the pleasure for the childhood purity and innocence from adults,and Natalie Babbitt shows the respect and understanding to the law of life with Tuck Everlasting.They express the respective understanding to the meaning of life from the perspective of intertextuality.
