马克思的民主政治理论经历了一个漫长的发展历程，他早年深受启蒙思想家和黑格尔的影响，信仰自由理性。其后，发现物质利益与国家、法的矛盾，马克思意识到资产阶级民主政治的历史局限性，从而开启了对资产阶级民主的批判之路。但以批判形态存在的马克思民主政治思想，其目的并不是批判，而是要超越资产阶级，构建起无产阶级民主政治理论，最终实现“真正的民主”。换言之，马克思的民主政治思想是批判性和建构性的整合。

Marx’ s democratic and political theory has experienced a long development process: in his early years, Marx was influenced by the Enlightenment thinkers and Hagel , he believed in the freedom of rationality . Subsequently , he found the contradiction among material interests , nationality and law .Marx realized the historical limitations of the bourgeois democratic politics , which commenced the road of bourgeois democratic criticism .But the existence of Marx ’ s democratic politics thought as a criticism form , the objective is not critical , but to go be-yond the bourgeoisie , construct the theory of proletarian democracy , and finally realize the “true democracy .”In other words , Marx's democratic political thought is the integration of critical and constructive .
