After emigrating overseas, Yan Geling created some novels that reflect the life of immigrants in the United States. Women in those novels are delicate but persistent and dauntless. They seem to be passive and weak, yet in fact, they“make concessions in order to gain advantages” and“overcome firmness by gentleness”. They are the strong in a true sense, and they are the feminist Utopia. The feminist Utopia in Yan Geling’ s novels has strong Chinese cultural characteristics, which indicates her identification towards Chinese cultural identity.
