The cultural literacy of English teachers is one major part of teachers’ comprehensive qualities, which has a direct relation-ship with the cultivation and development of talents. After investigating the current situation of English teachers’ cultural literacy at com-pulsory education level, this paper focuses on exploring and analyzing the strategies and necessity of increasing English teacher’ s cultural literacy.
