通过对汶川地震所产生的上百座堰塞湖调查发现，堰塞坝按照其组成大致可分为均质细坝、均质粗坝及分层坝。对三种堰塞坝分别开展了8次漫顶溃决试验研究，根据对溃坝过程的摄影记录，采集到溃口宽度、深度和最大溃决流量等实时试验数据，并以美国水道试验站公式为基础拟合出3种具有针对性的堰塞坝的最大溃决流量公式，该成果可对堰塞湖应急处置、预警、避险等决策提供技术支持。

After the survey of hundreds of barrier lakes incurred by Wenchuan Earthquake ,barrier dams can be divided into homoge‐neous and fine-particle dams ,homogeneous and coarse-particle dams as well as stratified dams by composition .The authors have conducted 8 overtopping breaching experiments on each kind of barrier dams .According to the record of the dam process ,the au‐thors have collected real-time test data such as breach width ,depth ,and the peak discharge ,etc .Based on the breach size ,the paper then conducts refitting on the formula of the U .S .Waterways Experiment Station (WES) and comes up with different formulas of peak break discharge of different types of barrier dams .Those formulas can provide technical support to facilitate emergency ,warn‐ing ,refuge and other decisions .
