伴随高等教育大众化,高等教育系统的分化和多样性维护问题已引起广泛关注。以往各国的研究建立在经典的分化学说与组织理论基础上,对高等教育系统分化与多样性维护的内涵、趋势、影响因素等进行了分析,并以此为基础探寻高等教育系统分化与多样性维持机制。事实上,高等教育系统分化与多样性维持机制是包含系统机构内部作用、外部环境作用、系统对外部环境的反馈作用的有机过程。若要针对一国高等教育系统分化现状进行维持多样性的干预,应建立在对其横纵向运行现状分析的基础上找出趋同的症结所在,并对干预可能影响到的因素变化进行预判,以防对复杂系统的盲目干预。在此基础上,对“分化”的测量、外部分化与内部分化的关系、分化与趋同是否对立、高等教育内在的逻辑约束等问题提出了批判性理解。

With the trends of mass higher education,differentiation and diversity maintenance of the higher ed-ucation system have caused widespread concern. Previous studies analyzed the connotations,trends and factors of differentiation and diversity maintenance of the higher education system based on the classical differentiation theory and histology,and then eXplored the maintenance mechanism of higher education system’s differentiation and diver-sity. In fact,it is an organic process includes internal actions,eXternal environment actions,and feedback. Inter-ventions which try to change the status quo of higher education system’s differentiation and diversity in a country should be established in finding the key problems of convergence by horizontal and vertical analysis. The anticipa-tion of the changing factors should be made,in case of the blind interventions in compleX system. Based on that, some critical understanding is put forward on the measurement of differentiation,the relationship of internal differ-entiation and eXternal differentiation,whether there be contradiction of differentiation and convergence,the internal logic restriction of higher education.
