高职院校办学的根本是教师队伍建设，专业教师的项目实践技能是培养高技能型人才的重要保障，参与企业实践是培养专业教师中占据着重要地位。论文分析了高职院校企业顶岗实践在强加师资队伍建设和学校可持续发展中的必要性和国内外现状，结合常州工程职业技术学院教师企业顶岗锻炼实践措施，提出了一系列可行性策略。
