宋代书院重视科举文学教育。以家族书院为代表的私立书院以科举文学教育为旨归，以朱熹、吕祖谦为代表的南宋讲学式书院以传道为己任，然不排斥科举。宋代书院的科举文学教育在学规、语录讲义及教材等方面具有鲜明体现，对文学和书院的发展各有利弊。

송대서원중시과거문학교육。이가족서원위대표적사립서원이과거문학교육위지귀，이주희、려조겸위대표적남송강학식서원이전도위기임，연불배척과거。송대서원적과거문학교육재학규、어록강의급교재등방면구유선명체현，대문학화서원적발전각유리폐。
The Academy of Classical Learning in Song Dynasty devoted much attention to the education about the literature of the Emperial Examina-tion,which was the ultimate aim of Private Academy of Classical Learning,for example,Family ones. The lecture Academies of Classical Learning deputied by Zhuxi and Lv-zuqian in Southern Song Dynasty devotes themselves to propagating doctrines of the ancient sages,however, which didn't exclude the Emperial Examination. Besides Academy rules and Quotation,The teaching materials and lecture notes embodied clearly the education about the literature of the Emperial Examination of the Academy which had its advantages and disadvantages to the development of Literature and the Academy of Classical Learning.
