China’s economic development has entered a new normal, which is a major strategic judgment made by the Central Government on the basis of a correct assessment of the situation. The new situation and its require?ments entail correctly understanding, adapting to, scientifically grasping and leading the new normal. By making a multi-angle and multi-dimension statistical analysis, this paper makes a detailed and objective analysis of and re?search into the phase characteristics and development requirements of Suzhou economic“new normal”, puts for?ward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions and provides a scientific basis for“promoting steady growth, pattern transformation and structural adjustment”in Suzhou economy.
