This paper analyzes the ability of students to identify the presence of minerals, including training programs, fac-ulty, and students own factors and address these issues, proposed the corresponding countermeasures, mainly to strengthen the practice, points the direction of teaching, the creation of elective open laboratory to carry out mineral identification acti-vities and improve teaching level and so on.
