Z优272既有中稻早播、早栽、早熟、高产的特点，又有中稻低位分蘖、早发多发苗成穗的特性，2008年以来在泸县作中稻+再生稻栽培并推广配套高产栽培技术，累计推广种植面积4.47万 hm2，蓄留再生稻3.06万 hm2；中稻+再生稻产量达14.656～16.308 t/hm2。

Z You 272 not only had the advantages of early sowing, early transplant-ing, early maturity and high yield which middle-season rice owned, but also had the features of low-node til ering, early seedling, multiple shoots and multiple panicles which also middle-season rice owned. Since 2008, middle-season rice+ratooning rice has been cultured in Luxian and its integrated high-yield cultivation techniques have been popularized, its total extension area has been 4.47×104 hm2, the area of mid-dle-season rice+ratooning rice has been 3.06×104 hm2, and the yield of middle-sea-son rice+ratooning rice has been 14.656-16.308 t/hm2.
