该文提出一种快速的车牌定位及字符分割方法。首先对采集的图像进行降分辨率,在降分辨率后的图像中进行车牌区域粗定位,在进行字符分割时再将车牌位置映射回原图中,提高算法的时间效率。车牌定位时基于颜色信息进行定位,最后基于垂直投影和排序方法对车牌中的字符进行分割。

This paper presents a rapid method of license plate location and character segmentation. First, The resolution of the ac?quired image is reduced. Subsequently, the license plate location is performed roughly.When character segmentation we map to the original location, so this method can improve the time efficiency of the algorithm. The method is based on the color information for license plate location. Finally, The characters of the license plate is divided by the method based on the vertical projection and sorting.
