“干火”和“燀”均见于《说文解字·火部》，段玉裁《说文解字注》认为“干火”字系“”字的讹误，从火“”声，属侵部，与属谈部的“惔”旁转。本文从甲骨文字形入手，认为“干火”在造字之初其实与“燀”同为一字，从火单声，而“单”与“惔”在上古的读音非常相近，这样就对“干火”的字音字形做出了合理的解释。
