20世纪50年代以来，贵州省少数民族古籍的保护工作取得了很大的成就，但也存在一些问题。当前面临困境主要是民族古籍资源流失严重、不能集中保存、保护制度缺失、经费不足和人才严重缺乏等。贵州省今后应该从加强民族古籍管理制度建设、建立健全法制、多方面筹措资金、加强人才的培养和更新保护技术等方面入手来加强民族古籍的保护工作。
