The Original Meaning of“Mu”%Grapheme%Literatures%Huamei%Youwei
《说文解字·禾部》“穆”之本义，历来众说纷纭，其中以“华美”与“幽微”二说为多。通过字形与文献考察，认为“华美”当为“穆”之本义，而“幽微”当是“穆”之假借义。
《說文解字·禾部》“穆”之本義，歷來衆說紛紜，其中以“華美”與“幽微”二說為多。通過字形與文獻攷察，認為“華美”噹為“穆”之本義，而“幽微”噹是“穆”之假藉義。
《설문해자·화부》“목”지본의，력래음설분운，기중이“화미”여“유미”이설위다。통과자형여문헌고찰，인위“화미”당위“목”지본의，이“유미”당시“목”지가차의。
There have been a variety of opinions about th e original meaning of “Mu”in Shuowen Jiezi. Most scholars have approved that “Huamei”or“Youwei”was its original meaning. Through the investigation about grapheme and literatures, this paper concludes that“Huamei”should be the original one, and“Youwei”should be the borrowed one.
